BAP: "Challenging agriculture
to be the career of choice"
Grand Bend, Ont.- When one door
closes, another opens. That is the philosophy
being taken by Bestard Agricultural Placements
(BAP) following the sudden death of the
company founder Brian
Bestard last April.
"Upon consulting with the stakeholders
in BAP we have decided to move forward and
continue to build on what Brian began,"
says Deb Krizmanich
(formerly Falk), wife of the late Brian
Bestard, who took over as President of BAP
on October 1. "We are looking forward
to the strategic partnerships and new market
initiatives that will be unfolding in the
coming months as we propel BAP into its
next phase of growth."
BAP was established in 1990 as an agribusiness
recruiting firm and has grown to be one
of the country's leading agricultural talent
placement companies, serving primarily the
Great Lakes Region of Canada and the USA.
Its corporate vision is "Challenging
agriculture
to be the career of choice".
As part of the new growth strategy, Krizmanich
is pleased to announce a new partnership
with AgriSense International (ASI). ASI
is an agri-food business management consulting
group based out of Guelph and as the newest
shareholders in BAP brings over 75 years
of combined experience to the table. ASI
will be represented by
Dale Cowan, BAP Vice President, and
Elaine Graham,
BAP Vice President Business Development.
"ASI brings not only our expertise
in the development of agribusiness, but
also the opportunity for precision placements
to fulfil client's business plans,"
explains Cowan. "This partnership with
BAP places ASI in a prime position to match
'minds' with management in a diverse range
of leading edge agribusinesses across North
America."
"The competitiveness of the Canadian
agricultural industry on the world stage
will be fuelled by people - and BAP will
be there to place the right people in the
right jobs." says Krizmanich. The first
of which is Brad
McAlpine who joins the team as a Recruitment
Specialist.
For agribusiness, this strategic
partnership means a significant increase
in Bestard Agricultural Placement's ability
to attract and review a wider group of candidates
to fill critical jobs from within the industry,
outside the industry and internationally.
Through BAP's face-to-face recruiting, only
the top candidates are introduced to the
client - negating a potential employer's
need to wade through hundreds of resumes
to fill a position. For agri job-seekers,
openings through BAP will continue to be
available at www.BestardAgPlacements.com
